Luis Rubiales: "New Zealand stays in our hearts"
The president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Luis Rubiales, has publicly expressed his gratitude to New Zealand for the treatment given to the delegation sent to that country with the Spanish Women's National Football Team during the current World Cup.
"New Zealand is already in our hearts; we will always carry them with us," Rubiales stated, "after a month in which this country has taken care of us and attended to us, making us feel at home." Luis Rubiales highlighted that "the entire delegation has had the chance to get to know New Zealand's culture and customs, and today we can say, without reservation, that we will never forget this country for everything it has given us."
The president of the RFEF emphasized, "Spain will never forget how everyone who had something to do with the organization, accommodation, training, matches, and, of course, a fan base that we also felt very close to, affectionate, and respectful towards our players, rallied behind our Women's National Team and us."
"We feel proud and truly privileged to have been welcomed like this in New Zealand; and, in this emotional farewell moment, it is only fair to publicly and before the whole world express our enormous gratitude to New Zealand," Luis Rubiales concluded.
