Luis Rubiales, present at the 38th CONCACAF Congress
He attended at the invitation of President Víctor Montagliani, who was re-elected to his post and with whom he showed great harmony.
The president of the RFEF, Luis Rubiales, attended the 38th Ordinary Congress of CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football), which was held in Antigua Guatemala. Rubiales was invited by the president of CONCACAF, Canadian Victor Montagliani, who was re-elected to the position until 2027 during the Congress and with whom the president of the RFEF endorsed a great connection that could be the seed of future collaborations.
Rubiales had the opportunity to meet with the presidents of various national federations, of which 41 are members of the Confederation, and also coincided with the head of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, who was also invited to the Congress.
In the new term of office of Montagliani, CONCACAF has a great challenge: the organization of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with venues in Canada, Mexico and the United States. A World Cup that will precede the 2030 World Cup, which Spain aspires to organize together with Portugal and Ukraine.
