Luis Rubiales presides over the institutional ceremony for the first match of the Spanish Supercopa

The head of the RFEF acted as host during the event that brought together representatives of Real Madrid and Valencia CF.

The half-time break of the match between Real Madrid and Valencia CF on Wednesday 11th January at King Fahd International Stadium provided the opportunity to hold the institutional event to celebrate this match, the first of the spectacular Supercopa de España 2023.

The president of the Spanish Football Federation acted as host, inaugurating the traditional gift exchange between the participating clubs.

Luis Rubiales first presented Real Madrid's general manager, José Ángel Sánchez, with a replica of the trophy, which was matched with a sculpture of the bear and the strawberry tree by the representative of Real Madrid CF.

The president of Valencia CF, Layhoon Chan, then received a replica of the Supercopa trophy, while the president of Valencia CF presented a model of the Mestalla stadium, which will celebrate its first centenary this year, to the president of the RFEF.

The exchange of gifts between the representatives of the clubs and a final family photograph with Salvador Gomar, the president of the Football Federation of the Valencian Community, brought to an end the fraternisation event between all the participants in a fascinating first semi-final in this year's Supercopa de España.
