Luis Rubiales supports the Women's National Team as they get their World Cup started

The president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation has travelled to the New Zealand city of Wellington, where this Friday he will follow the match against Costa Rica live.

This Friday 21 July, a historic day for Spanish football as the national team makes its debut in its third consecutive Women's World Cup. The team will be supported in person in New Zealand by the president of the RFEF.

Luis Rubiales landed in the city of Wellington, where he has met with the national team players and coaching staff, greeting and accompanying them to the stadium in New Zealand’s capital.

In the stadium, the head of Spanish football's governing body will watch the match against Costa Rica from the VIP box. The match is scheduled to kick off at 19:30 local time, ten hours earlier on the Spanish mainland.

After the match, Luis Rubiales will continue his journey by road, along with the entire Spanish travelling squad, to the New Zealand town of Palmerston North, where the Women's National Team has set up its base camp for the duration of the World Cup tournament.
