The Spanish national team wants to maintain its unblemished record in the qualifying phase for EURO 2025 in Switzerland. Montse Tomé's team have won four out of four matches, scoring 15 goals and conceding just three.

Czech Republic - Spain, at 18:00, live on TVE

Spain lead their group, A2, with 12 points out of a possible 12, ahead of Denmark (6), Belgium (4) and Czech Republic (1). The Czechs are our opponents today and the Letní stadion is the venue for the encounter.

The Letní stadion, located in the Zadních Vinohradech district of Chomutov, is the home stadium of local club FC Chomutov of the Czech fourth division. Its stands can hold up to 4,800 spectators and was inaugurated in 2012.

Germany's Riem Hussein will referee the Czech Republic - Spain match

The Spanish national team has recently faced the Czech team, with the last match on 9 April of this year, when Montse Tomé's side came from behind to win 3-1 at the Estadio El Plantío in Burgos. The overall record between the two teams is nine games played, with Spain winning eight and drawing one.

Despite the historical head-to-head record being in her team’s favour, Montse Tomé and Laia Aleixandri are wary of the Czechs. The coach says that "Czech Republic are a very intense team, with very dangerous players like Stašková in attack and Cahynová in midfield. In the game in Burgos they put us under pressure up front and our job will be to dominate the game and create chances".

For her part, Laia Aleixandri recognises that the Czechs "were a very difficult block to overcome, they pressed us quite high and we will have to be very focused and impose our style of football in the match".

With Spain already qualified for next summer's European Championships, the focus for Spain will be partly on their opening game at the Olympic Games in Paris on the 25th against Japan. Both Montse Tomé and Laia Aleixandri agree that today's match against the Czech Republic will serve as ideal preparation for the Olympic Games.
