María Pérez: "We are ambitious and we will go for the three points"

After the last training session in Las Rozas before travelling to Pontevedra to face Italy in the UEFA Women's Nations League, María Pérez spoke to the media at a press conference to share her thoughts on the training camp and the match against Italy.

María Pérez was very happy to be called up by Montse Tomé for this international squad call up: "Coming to the national team is a reward for what you do with your club and I hope to be in the next squads too".

The player explained what the key to Spain dominating matches is, explaining that their style is what has allowed them to be superior in previous matches: "We focus on our game and what we want to do to beat our opponents. We study and plan a game plan that we believe will benefit us, but we play our game, which is what has made us superior and has got us this far".

Finally, she acknowledged that although a draw against Italy would be enough for them, they will go all out for the win: "We are ambitious players and we will go for the three points like in previous games".
