MATCH REPORT | An uncontested Real Madrid reaches the final (0-4)

Carlo Ancelotti's side turned the match around at the Spotify Camp Nou with an offensive festival in the second half

Nine years after their last appearance at the big party of Spanish football, Real Madrid qualified for the final on Wednesday with an emphatic away win over FC Barcelona.

Xavi Hernandez's men went into the second leg of the semifinals with a minimal advantage after winning at the Santiago Bernabéu, but with important absentees such as Pedri, Dembélé and De Jong.

Despite this, the azulgranas started off intensely in search of Courtois' goal, who responded solidly to the local attacks as well as  his teammates Militao and Camavinga, insurmountable in the Merengue defense.

As the minutes went by, Ancelotti's offense began to run wild in deadly counterattacks, which on the stroke of halftime were able to score with a combination between Benzema and Vinicius that the Brazilian finished off with suspense at the back of the goal.

The goal equalized the tie at halftime, but after the restart, Madrid's gamble proved to be successful with fluid and dizzying transitions against which FC Barcelona could do very little.

Among all the players, an imperial Benzema stood out with three more goals, one of them from the penalty spot, certifying his team's qualification.

In the end, Real Madrid reached the 40th final in its history with a final score of 0-4. CA Osasuna awaits them in the big match on May 6 at La Cartuja in Seville.
