MATCH REPORT | The Spanish National Team leaves Spain with a 7-0 victory for the fans

The team led by Jorge Vilda convincingly defeated World Cup participant Panama, who failed to get close to Misa's goal.

The Spanish National Team arrived at the Román Suárez Puerta with a desire to give the fans a great farewell match before leaving the country to continue preparing for the World Cup. Esther González wasted no time in opening the scoring, heading in a corner kick. From there, it was smooth sailing as the goals kept flowing gradually.

In the 22nd minute, Alexia, who returned to wearing the red jersey after an injury, combined beautifully with Irene Guerrero, who lofted a pass to the number eleven to beat Yenith with a chip. Before the half-hour mark, Espinosa increased the lead with an own goal while attempting to clear a cross.

The players under Jorge Vilda, who celebrated his 100th match today, wanted more. The fourth goal came from the penalty spot, courtesy of Irene Guerrero, who already had two assists. Eva Navarro then appeared to score the fifth, taking advantage of a cross where the Panamanian goalkeeper misjudged the ball. Just before halftime, Esther González completed her brace from close range, making it six.

As the players returned from the break, the first wave of substitutions began to maintain the same style of play, with patience, stringing passes together, and displaying talent in every move to take on their opponents. The seventh goal didn't take long to arrive, as Athenea del Castillo converted a spectacular volley that found the top corner of the Panamanian net, with the goalkeeper in this case being a mere spectator.

Spain dominated possession, and Panama struggled to break out of their own half, but time was running out, and they had yet to trouble Misa. The margin could have been larger, but Rocío Gálvez failed to add another goal to the scoreboard due to an offside decision. After the referee's final whistle, the players embraced each other and received the warm applause of the fans, who will continue to support them in every match they play far from Spanish soil, hoping for a great performance in the World Cup, where the philosophy remains the same: "Play, fight, and win."
