MATCH REPORT | Real Madrid dyes the Copa white after a vibrant final (2-1)

Carlo Ancelotti's team opened and closed the scoring against a deserving CA Osasuna.

Nine years after its last title, Real Madrid has once again lifted the most prestigious trophy in Spanish football, becoming the third team to reach 20 trophies and the second to reach 40 finals.

Carlo Ancelotti's team, accustomed in this edition to scoring after 45 minutes, came out determined to win from the opening whistle with an unstoppable Vinicius on the left flank.

The Carioca has left on the field a spectacular repertoire of skill, overflow and solidarity with his teammates, serving on a platter after two minutes the goal that Rodrygo Goes finished in front of Sergio Herrera.

An early blow to which CA Osasuna reacted quickly, supported by their aerial power, but suffering the onslaught of an insatiable Vinicius on the wing, against whom Moncayola acted as an improvised right back after the injury of his first-choice defenders in that position.

Jagoba Arrasate's men gradually made amends and after holding on to a 1-0 lead at the break, they found the equalizer after the restart with a very strong and tight shot from the edge of the area by Lucas Torró.

The horizon of extra time appeared for the Navarrese, who had just come from overcoming four elimination rounds in extra time, but a more controlled Vinicius in the second act re-emerged twenty minutes from the end for Rodrygo's opportunism to decide the final.

Osasuna fought until the end, having a good chance in extra time, but Real Madrid was able to impose its experience in the finals, lifting a title in the figure of Karim Benzema, which completes two impressive seasons in terms of trophies won by the white club.
