After their 3-2 defeat against Matildas, the Spanish national team faced the match against the Czech Republic with ambition and desire. The Spanish team, dominating the ball from the kick-off, had the best chances in a match they would end up taking the three points thanks to their stylish and intricate passing game.

As fate would have it, it was Esther González, who had scored her first official goal against the Czechs in 2020, who also opened the scoring. The Real Madrid CF forward took advantage of a low cross from Sheila García to put Spain ahead. She also scored the second goal when she took Marta Cardona's perfect cross and sent into the back of the net.

The Spanish team continued to dominate the second half and protected their area. Athenea del Castillo closed the scoring from eleven metres. With this result and good feelings, the team coached by Jorge Vilda ended their rewarding experience in Australia.
