Spain gave it everything they had, but it just wasn't meant to be, and the national team missed out on a medal at the Paris 2024 Games. Montse Tomé's side hit the crossbar twice, controlled possession, created chances, and even had a late penalty, but ultimately came up short.
Germany converted their second-half penalty, and that proved to be the decisive moment in a match that Spain arguably deserved more from. The Games are over for the World Cup winners. The medal slipped through their fingers at the last moment, but now it's time for the players to pick themselves up and move forward.
