Meeting of regional federation leaders concludes with proposals to update regulation and competition models
Gathering strengthens communication channels to improve coordination among federations
Two days of hard work, reflection, dialogue and ideas aimed at improving Spanish football have concluded in Barcelona, resulting in a range of new proposals. These were thought up during meetings involving both the general secretaries and the presidents of Spain’s regional football federations, all held under the leadership of RFEF president, Rafael Louzán.
Working alongside representatives from Spain’s regional federations, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) team led sessions focused on analysing regulatory matters and exploring competition morels across both men’s and women’s football.
The discussions were framed around a commitment to advancing compliance, transparency, coordination and solidarity among federations. Key topics also included digitalisation and the broader digital transformation to improve management efficiency.
The conclusions drawn from these meetings in Barcelona will now be submitted for review by the RFEF’s Delegate Commission and General Assembly.
“I encourage everyone to continue working in this spirit of consensus and collaboration,” said Rafael Louzán, thanking all participants for their dedication.
