Montse Tomé: "I have seen the players happy and eager."

Following the great start of the Spanish National Team in this group stage of the UEFA Women's Nations League, the national head coach spoke ahead of the second match of Group A4 against Switzerland.

Montse Tomé emphasized the value of the team and the good atmosphere within the national team after Friday's victory in Gothenburg: "We have a group of players who are 100% professionals. After the game against Sweden, I saw them joyful and enjoying the match a lot. These players have made us enjoy playing football. There are things to improve, of course, but they are eager, and we are prepared for tomorrow's match."

Regarding our next opponent, Switzerland, the national coach believes that the match will be different from the previous World Cup: "Every match is a new world, and opponents change in each match. We started by losing and later we were able to turn it around and win with a score of 5-1." The coach emphasized that "we have prepared for this match with the same intensity and eagerness, but considering their last match against Italy."

Montse Tomé highlighted her ability as a coach to convey the passion she has for football and spoke about the great abilities of her players in the Spanish national team.

Finally, the national coach thanked the support the Spanish national team is receiving in Córdoba and encouraged the fans to come to the stadium tomorrow and cheer for the players from the stands to achieve the important victory against Switzerland: "We are very grateful to the city and the people. The players feel that affection, and it's fortunate and a great help. The match will be competitive, and I hope people support and cheer for the players. Playing with our fans is an advantage," emphasized Montse Tomé.
