Enjoy the best moment in the history of Spanish women's football, the national team continues to establish itself and take steps forward. The latest of these is the renewal of the current coach, Monte Tomé, who has extended her contract for another year, until August 2025, once the European Championships in Switzerland, which will take place next summer in the Central European country, has finished. As such, Pedro Rocha, president of the Royal Spanish Federation, and his Board of Directors have continued to demonstrate their confidence in a home-grown coach.

Tomé, who took up the post in September 2023, has an immaculate CV since taking the helm of the national team. She has already won the UEFA Nations League title in the first edition of the tournament and then led the team to a perfect qualification campaign for the European Championships, so much so that, with two matches to play still, the national team is already assured of a place in the competition.

The UEFA Nations League victory brought with it the historic qualification for the Olympic Games, which kick off in just 20 days and are the next big goal for a team that, with Montse Tomé onboard, also became world champions last summer at the historic event in Australia and New Zealand, a tournament that allowed our shield to be accompanied by the much-desired winners’ star.

With the close future sealed, the national team and the coach are working hand in hand towards the Olympic Games that we are all so excited about.
