Montse Tomé: "I am very happy for them."

The national coach considers the victory "very positive" and praises her players

Montse Tomé expressed her satisfaction in the press conference, stating that the players had a great match and showed their level. "I am very happy for them," she mentioned. "It's been a long time since I've seen the players enjoy themselves so much, and we enjoyed it with them," she assured. "It's a very positive victory," she summarized.

 

The national coach insisted that the players should have the freedom to do "what they know how to do," which is play football, and emphasized that things have changed. "I already mentioned in my introduction that a different moment was beginning, and it's been evident since the call-up," illustrating this statement with the position of some international players, like Laia Alexandri.

Regarding the different phases of the match, Montse Tomé highlighted the second half for the level the players demonstrated. She reaffirmed her "confidence" in her work and that of her staff. When asked if she felt a sense of relief after the victory, she stated, "I didn't feel pressure; what I wanted was to put into practice what we had prepared and focus on football."
