Esther González and Montse Tomé looked forward to the match against Switzerland at the UEFA Women's Nations League pre-match press conference. Esther spoke first, stating that the team is "ambitious", with the striker saying that they are "not afraid of their opponents" and that they are aware that their opponents always do their homework.

She also took the opportunity to praise her team-mates nominated for the Ballon d'Or to be awarded today, hoping "that it stays in Spain".

Montse Tomé then took centre stage, saying she expected to face "a very strong Swiss outfit", aware that the Swiss "have two great players back available for the match".

He also spoke about the victory against Italy, emphasising that "the positive thing is that the players had the ambition to go all out for the win".

The coach was very proud to "have so much talent" in the squad when asked about the Ballon d'Or: "From the first day we found out that the Ballon d'Or awards ceremony was going to clash with the training camp, we’ve adapted to it". Finally, she said that he understands her rival’s increased “motivation to beat" Spain, the world champions.
