In front of an auditorium packed with hundreds of top-level UEFA coaches and five days away from announcing her next squad, national coach Montse Tomé outlined the working practices of the women's senior national team, reigning world and Nations League champions.

Firstly, I would like to thank Pep Sansó, Israel López and the whole team at the RFEF National Coaching School for this invitation to give us this opportunity to give visibility to what we do in front of so many great coaches present here,’ began Montse Tomé, who explained how she plans the national team's training camps and matches.

For the Asturian coach, ‘our job is always to try to get the maximum performance out of the players, although each one of us approaches this objective differently’, while highlighting the different way of planning the work in a club compared to a national team.

Alongside the head coach of the team wearing the World Cup winner's star, her assistant coach, Irene del Río, gave an audiovisual presentation focusing on the drills that the internationals do during training and how they are adapted to the specific needs of each match, with Canada and Italy as Spain's next opponents this October.

For his part, Emilio González, a member of the coaching staff of the national team, focused on explaining the work that the national team carries out on the psychological aspect and the importance of ‘giving content and concreteness’ to the messages that the players receive during their time together in the team.

The UEFA Pro Licence evaluation sessions were held in person at the Ciudad del Fútbol over the weekend, with presentations and speeches by big names from the dugout such as Pep Guardiola, Unai Emery and Miguel Ángel Sánchez Míchel, along with leading figures in the fields of club management, sports management and data analysis, among many other subjects.
