Montse Tomé appeared at a press conference after the match against Italy to answer questions from the media. She stressed that all the group stage matches were very difficult: "Qualification has been good. The first match against Sweden we won in the 90th minute. In the second we won 5-0, in the third game we fought hard to beat Italy 0-1 and the team kept the opposition quiet until the 90th minute. In the penultimate match against Switzerland, although we won 1-7 there were things to improve. Today, we were defeated but it's a learning experience.”

However, the national coach was keen to stress that the objective has already been achieved, as they will compete in the semi-finals of the UEFA Women's Nations League looking to secure a ticket to the Olympic Games in Paris. "The objective was to reach the semi-finals and we've achieved that, we wanted to win every game but it wasn't to be.

Regardless of the previous match, she is still looking forward to an important match to come against Sweden next Tuesday: "We have to analyse the game well and focus on Sweden.
