Montse Tomé: 'We are happy, it's a moment to enjoy'

Montse Tomé has expressed her joy for the results achieved in the first two matches of the Women's Nations League: 'It's beautiful to be able to enjoy our profession and its essence.'

Tomé emphasized, 'I have always had confidence and have always received it from them. Winning always gives you a different joy. We are happy; we have managed to overcome many things, and we are at a moment where we enjoy the victory.'

Regarding the match, she stated, 'In the first half, we tried to impose intensity; Switzerland resisted us better, and in the second, we improved positioning in the opponent's field, the ball circulation was faster.' 'I value and highlight the attitude of all the players; we are proud of them.'

In relation to everything surrounding these matches, Montse Tomé is clear: 'The positive aspect is having overcome the problems, talking about football. I value the work of my staff; they have helped me, they have been a supportive team and have been able to get into their minds and hearts so that they were able to think about football, enjoy football, and I think that makes us stronger. They have been competitive, and we have managed to win. We are happy,' she added.

When asked about how she experienced this first training camp leading the national team, she stated: 'It was my debut, my first time, and I told them I felt proud to do it with them. This has served me a lot. I trust in the work, in adverse situations, I try to keep moving forward, I am strong, and I have been able to endure in the moments when I had to endure and move forward when it was possible and towards football. I tried to be close to them, and as we were able to carry out what we had prepared, we enjoyed the profession, gave them confidence, they gave us everything, and the result is the great game we can play.'
