New Zealand's most populous city entered the Women's National Team's list of iconic locations to visit on Wednesday as Spain sealed their second-ever qualification for a World Cup qualifier there.

As a way of celebrating without taking time off from training, the national team held a recovery training session at Auckland's North Harbour Stadium for the three goalkeepers as well as the players who get fewer minutes in the win over Zambia.

Spain will play against Japan to top Group C and will then face one of Norway, the Philippines, Switzerland or hosts New Zealand in the Round of 16.

The rest of the players did gym work before joining their team-mates for the trip  back to their World Cup base camp in Palmerston North on Thursday morning.

The internationals will return to work on Friday afternoon in Palmerston North to prepare for Monday's match against Japan, which will determine Spain's final position in Group C and their Round of 16 clash with Norway, the Philippines, Switzerland and hosts New Zealand, one of whom will be our opponents in the next round.
