Neither cold nor rain could dampen the Spain fans’ enthusiasm

On a Monday characterised by rain and cold at the Ciudad del Fútbol, Luis de la Fuente's men held their first training session of the year on Pitch A at Las Rozas. It was the first time the internationals have had a chance to prepare for the quarter-finals of the UEFA Nations League, and they did so alongside the Spanish Under-21s.

Spain take on the Netherlands in a double-header that promises to be a promising encounter, given the quality of both sides and the high stakes involved. Meanwhile, Santi Denia's team are kicking off a training camp that sees them scheduled to play two friendlies ahead of the upcoming European U-21 Championships.

The fans’ desire to see the internationals up close was clear for all to see, as the Pitch A stands packed to the rafters despite the cold and rain. And the Spanish players gave something back to the fans by signing autographs and taking photos with the hundreds of people who did not want to miss this chance to see the national team up close and personal.
