OFFICIAL | Match officials for the final of the Copa del Rey

José Luis Munuera Montero (Jaén, 1983) will referee his first Copa del Rey final at the Estadio de La Cartuja. The Andalusian referee was promoted to the First Division in the 2016/17 season, making his debut in a match between Celta Vigo and Leganés. That same season he was awarded the Vicente Acebedo Award by the RFEF Technical Committee of Referees.

He reached the top flight after three seasons and 61 matches in the Second Division. In the top division of Spanish football, he has already officiated 149 matches. In this edition of the Copa del Rey he has taken charge of four matches so far. Deportivo Murcia - Alavés in the first round, Atzeneta - Getafe in the second round, Amorebieta - Celta de Vigo in the third round and the quarter-final between Mallorca and Girona. He has also been an international referee since 2019 when FIFA awarded him his badge.

In the VAR studio will be Eduardo Prieto Iglesias, a specialised VAR Primera División Referee, who this season has covered a total of 62 matches from the VAR studio.

The final of the Copa Rey will once again feature semi-automatic offsides, as was the case last season.
