The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) Management Committee met today and has elected María Ángeles García Chaves as the Committee president. It has also decided to call elections for the Presidency of the RFEF, a step that will be officially rubber stamped tomorrow, Tuesday 10 September.

The call for elections will be published on 11 September and the period for presenting as a candidate for the Presidency of the RFEF will be from Thursday 12 September until Monday 16 September. The elections will then take place on 7 October if there are numerous candidates. However, If only one candidate presents, this step will not be necessary.

Once the future President has been elected, it will be them who will be responsible for calling elections for the Assembly of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, which, once constituted, will elect the new president of the RFEF for the next term of office.
