The name Olga Carmona García is now part of the history of Spanish women's football. It was her goal that made Spanish dreams come true in the final of the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

With an unstoppable left-footed shot, the Sevillian worked tirelessly from start to finish, scoring the only goal against England in the 29th minute. A goal that ultimately helped Spain add their first World Cup to their trophy cabinet.

The number '19' showed the name of 'Merchi' during her celebration, paying respect to the mother of her best friend, Maria, who recently passed away.

At 23 years of age, Olga has stood out throughout the tournament for her strength, dedication, determination and her ability to always be in the game, popping up at the most important moments for our national team. With her agonisingly late goal in the semi-final and the decisive goal in the final, Olga Carmona has reached summit during the most demanding competition in the world.
