Panini presents the collector cards of the Spanish National Team and the official album for the World Cup.
On the day the Spanish Women's National Team gathered again to continue their preparation for the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, Panini wanted to support the players by presenting the collector cards and official album at an event held at the federation headquarters.
Lluís Torrent, General Director of Panini España S.A., expressed his satisfaction in "supporting the Spanish Women's National Team through this action" and emphasized his desire to "wish the national team the best of luck."
Although this will be Spain's third participation in a World Cup, this is Panini's fourth Official Collection for a Women's World Cup (2011, 2015, 2019, and now 2023). Furthermore, it is the fifth time that collectible collector cards will be made for the Spanish Women's National Team (two European Championships and three World Cups).
Rubén Rivera, Marketing Director of RFEF, mentioned that there is "increasing demand for collector cards among boys and girls despite the digital world we live in. I want to express my gratitude, as well as that of RFEF, for always being with us in these important events."
Jennifer Hermoso, Spain's all-time leading goal scorer, commented that "being in a card collection is an honor. It's amazing that your little niece has a card of you, it leaves a mark." She concluded by saying that "it's a gift when people want to collect your collector cards."
Athenea del Castillo, who appears for the first time in the team's collector cards, expressed her excitement about "being featured in an album wearing the Spanish shirt." Regarding the World Cup, Athenea insisted that "we will try to do our best because we are eager to compete."
The event concluded with a family photo with the four protagonists who presided over the event, creating a memorable moment.
