Pedro Rocha presides over the official delegates meeting in Pontevedra to mark the Spain - Italy match

Pilar Alegría, Government Spokesperson and Minister for Education, Vocational Training and Sport, was one of the authorities present at the Pasarón stadium.

 

The Spanish national team qualified for the final four of the UEFA Women's Nations League on Friday in front of a Pasarón stadium packed with fans who never stopped cheering on the national team from the very first minute.

In the moments immediately prior to match against Italy, the official national executive box at the stadium hosted the institutional act of the exchanging of gifts.

Acting as host, the president of the RFEF Management Commission, Pedro Rocha, began the event by presenting a plaque commemorating the match to the mayor of Pontevedra, Miguel Anxo Fernández Lores.

The president of the Provincial Council of Pontevedra, Luis López Diéguez; the Regional Minister for Employment Promotion and Equality of the Xunta de Galicia, Elena Rivo; the Minister for Education, Vocational Training and Sports, Pilar Alegría; the president of Pontevedra CF, Guadalupe Morillo; the UEFA delegate, Stephani Forde; the head of the Italian Football Federation, Stefano Braghin, as well as the head of the Royal Galician Football Federation, Rafael Louzán, completed the list of dignitaries who participated in the gift exchange ceremony.

The family photograph, which included the vice-president of the RFEF, Elvira Andrés, the head of the National Women's Football Committee, Rafael del Amo, the Secretary of State for Sport, Víctor Francos and various dignitaries from the different RFEF territorial federations, brought to an end this event of exquisite sportsmanship, which was attended by a large and notable presence of the most important local, regional and national institutions.
