The match that will see half a dozen World Cup trophies between the teams on the pitch has a referee in the shape of Portugal's António Emanuel Carvalho Nobre, who will replace his compatriot João Pinheiro, and who will lead a refereeing team made up entirely of referees from our neighbouring country.

Born 35 years ago in the Portuguese town of Caldas da Rainha, António won his FIFA badge in 2022 and this will be the first match in which he referees both the Spanish and Brazilian teams.

For the match against the Verdeamarela on Tuesday 26 March at 21:30 (Spanish peninsular time), António Nobre will have his compatriots Bruno Jesus and Luciano Maia as assistant referees and the Portuguese Gustavo Correia as the fourth official.
