Thursday's victory over Cyprus in Limassol consolidates Spain's position at the top of the group as they march on on the road to the European Championship in Germany, for which the national team has already qualified.

However, in order to be seeded for next year's event in Germany, the national team still need one last win next Sunday against Georgia in Valladolid to secure top spot without depending on what Scotland do against Norway.

The Tartan Army drew against Georgia in Tbilisi in the day's other game and, due to goal difference, are virtually dependent on a Spanish defeat on Sunday to have a chance of overtake Spain at the top.

The current group standings are as follows:

Spain and Scotland will be in the draw for the finals draw, which will take place on Saturday 2 December at 6pm in Hamburg, Germany.
