The president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Rafael Louzán, was present at the Estadio Municipal El Toralín to witness the clash between RC Deportivo and Real Betis Balompié alongside Marcelino Maté, president of the Royal Football Federation of Castilla y León.

“I want to thank the Federation of Castilla y León, as well as SD Ponferradina and this beautiful town of Ponferrada which is hosting us for the semi-finals and final of the Youth Champions Cup,” commented the president, who also expressed his optimism after watching the young players competing in the competition: “I believe there is talent and a strong future with what we are seeing on the pitch. Furthermore, I would also like to thank the hundreds of fans who have come to experience this semi-final and who, on Sunday at noon, can enjoy the final here,” he concluded.

Louzán travelled to Ponferrada after arriving in Spain from Poland, where last night the final of the UEFA Conference League was held, marked by the presence of another Spanish team, Real Betis.
