Rafael Louzán presides over Spain–Portugal from the presidential box at Balaídos
The president of the RFEF hosted the formal event held during half-time of the UEFA Women’s Nations League fixture
Spain and Portugal go head-to-head this Tuesday in Vigo in Matchday 4 of the UEFA Women’s Nations League group stage. During the half-time break, the presidential area of Balaídos stadium was the stage for the traditional institutional event.
The VIP box at the Vigo stadium witnessed a formal gathering led by the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Rafael Louzán, who first presented a commemorative plaque to the Second Deputy Mayor of Vigo City Council, Javier Pardo.
Louzán then presented commemorative gifts to Luis López Diéguez, President of the Provincial Council of Pontevedra; Diego Calvo, Minister for the Presidency and Sport of the Xunta de Galicia; José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, President of the Higher Sports Council; Marian Mouriño, President of RC Celta de Vigo; Ginta Pece, UEFA Delegate; as well as Pedro Proença, President of the Portuguese Football Federation, and Pablo Prieto Perille, President of the Galician Football Federation.
A group photograph marked the occasion, which took place during the half-time interval of the Spain vs Portugal match — part of Matchday 4 in the UEFA Women’s Nations League — as the Spanish national team continue their bid to retain the title won last year.
