Ready for Germany

The Spanish national team has completed its final training session in the run up to tomorrow’s huge quarter-final encounter against the hosts of the European Championships.

The now customary large number of Spanish fans outside the SV Aasen training ground in the German town of Donaueschingen served as a perfect send off for the team on the eve of the tough match that Spain play this Friday against Germany.

The unseasonably wet Thursday morning saw the last National Team training session before the quarter-final tie against the hosts in the city of Stuttgart, where the Spanish squad will travel this afternoon by road.

Beforehand, Luis de la Fuente led a demanding training session in which the coach put the finishing touches to his plans ahead of the clash against Die Mannschaft, a match in which he will have all 26 called-up players fit and at his disposal.

On his arrival in the capital of the German state of Baden-Württemberg, the national team coach will hold a press conference with Dani Carvajal at the Stuttgart Arena, the venue for Friday's clash against Germany.
