6:15 pm. Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas. A year after playing their opening match at the World Cup, where Spain reached the pinnacle of sporting success, and with the dream of achieving glory again. These were the thoughts on the players’ minds as the Spanish National Team bid farewell to our country before heading to Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport to land in Nantes at 9:10 pm.
Montse Tomé's team will make their debut in the French city on 25 July at 5:00 pm against Japan, their first opponent in the group stage of these Olympic Games.
After 22 days of training camp preparations and having played two qualifiers, against the Czech Republic and Belgium, the national team is ready to begin its first Olympic adventure.
