Recover to win

A team of top professionals in permanent dialogue with the coaching staff is working during the European Championships so that the Spanish internationals can get back to feeling their best after the physical demands of matches and training sessions.

Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up,’ says the Batman maxim. Even without those superpowers, the national team's coaching staff are putting all their dedication into helping the internationals recover from their fatigue and heavy legs after the last match and the challenge of getting ready for the next European Championships encounter.

Amongst all the work of doctors, physiotherapists and physical trainers, there is the figure of the rehabilitation trainer, the professional in charge of carrying out the recovery process for the internationals.

In permanent communication with the physical trainer Carlos Cruz, the Murcia-born Antonio Gómez works side by side with the players to guarantee their safe return in the event of injury or physical discomfort, as well as using all the tools available to Spain to help the internationals recover to the best condition possible after the intense efforts of the matches.

All this, with the demands and constraints of a calendar full of commitments, but with the backing of an extraordinary group of professionals at the service of the national team for whom "every day and every hour that passes is very important", as Gómez himself says.
