The Spanish national team came from behind against Georgia in a great game to seal their place in the quarter-finals. The Georgians took an early lead, but Rodrigo's 38th-minute strike brought the scores level. Fabian, Nico Williams and Dani Olmo rounded off the scoring.

Rodri's great performance in the match was rewarded with the UEFA man of the match award. After the match, he appeared at a press conference where he explained his perspective on the game. "These are different games, you need patience against a defence that sits deep"

After the goal was conceded, Rodri took control of the situation by putting the team at ease with his metronomic passing play. "Sometimes 20 seconds of calm is more productive than attacking without any sense", he explained. He also emphasised that it had been a complicated match.

Finally, he spoke about the Spanish national team's next opponent: Germany. "Germany will be strong at home, but they will also be worried about us". The Spanish player expressed confidence about the next challenge for the national team, showing that the team will give its best in the quarter-finals.
