Rodrigo, best player of a tournament in which the national team dominates the individual awards

The joy as a country and as a team that Spain experienced on Sunday in Berlin by winning its fourth European Championships has been accompanied by a string of individual awards that increase, as if it were necessary, the euphoria of the internationals.

On the one hand, midfielder Rodrigo Hernández won the award for best player of the European Championships at the end of a tournament in which he was Spain's driving force, scored in the Last 16 and played a part in the first half of the final against England, which he was forced to abandon at half-time due to physical problems.

A goal by Nico Williams in the early stages of the second half started to bring the title closer to Spain, which in large part led to the player from Navarre being distinguished with the award for best player in a great final in which he excelled on the left flank for the entire ninety minutes.

Dani Olmo was also decisive, although this time not in front of goal, but by blocking an England equalizer in injury time. Olmo, with three goals in the European Championships, has won the golden boot for top scorer, along with England's Harry Kane, who scored 3 during the tournament, just like the Spanish striker.

Moreover, just one day after his seventeenth birthday, the Catalan Lamine Yamal completed an excellent final, including assisting the first goal after a dazzling competition in which he was unanimously awarded the prize for the best young player of the tournament.

An accumulation of awards and good news that the internationals will surely share with the fans this Monday in Madrid during the celebration of this historic fourth European Championships for Spain.
