Santi Denia: "The aim is to win and secure qualification"
The national coach, Santi Denia, spoke to the media after the final training session before facing the Dominican Republic in Bordeaux this Saturday (3:00 PM, on La1 and Eurosport) in the second match of the group stage of the Paris 2024 Olympic Football Tournament.
The coach from La Mancha reiterated the message he sent after the victory against Uzbekistan: "We are going to try to improve things and physically recover the players. We need to get better at what we are good at and work on some things," he stated.
Santi Denia emphasized the value of the team: "They are very good players, they are forming a very good group and family, and that brings peace of mind." Regarding their opponent, the Dominican Republic, he highlighted that "they have very good qualities similar to Uzbekistan, such as their defensive structure and the great work that their coach and technical staff put in."
Alongside Santi Denia, Eric García, Pablo Barrios, and Diego López also spoke to the media at the Stade Cheban Delmas in Bordeaux.
