Semi Final draw: Barça-Atlético and Real Sociedad-Real Madrid
The draw held today at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas has determined the path to the Sevilla final.
FC Barcelona-Atlético Madrid and Real Sociedad-Real Madrid. The semi-finals of the Copa del Rey Mapfre 2024/25 were confirmed this midday, following the last Copa del Rey draw of the season. The draw featured Carlos Fortuna and Predrag Mijatović and Xabi Prieto, who helped draw balls from the pot.
Anticipation was high in the Luis Aragonés auditorium at the Ciudad del Fútbol just before 13:00. FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, and Real Sociedad were the four teams represented in the pot from which the balls were drawn. All four had secured their spots in the semi-finals in the previous round as follows: Atlético against Getafe, Real Sociedad against Osasuna, and FC Barcelona and Real Madrid away in Leganés and Valencia, respectively.
The draw established that Barça and Real Sociedad will play the first leg at home, while the second leg will be decided at the Metropolitano and Santiago Bernabéu. In the coming hours, the exact dates and times for these matches will be decided, with the first legs set to take place between February 25 and 27, and the return legs from April 1 to 3.
