Sergio Gómez joins up with the Spain training camp

The Spain international will train with his team-mates for the first time this Wednesday in preparation for the UEFA Nations League qualifiers against Denmark and Serbia.

Real Sociedad player Sergio Gómez has already joined the Spanish national team camp after being called up by Luis de la Fuente to replace Nico Williams. The international was received by the coach himself as well as numerous members of the squad at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas.

"I was walking the dog with my girlfriend and I saw Luis' phone call. I returned it and he gave me the news. I'm happy with the call from the coach, I'm grateful for the opportunity and now I'm going to enjoy the experience and learn from my team-mates", said the player on his arrival at the training camp.

Sergio will train with the national team this Wednesday to prepare for Spain's two upcoming matches against Denmark and Serbia in Matchdays 3 and 4 of the UEFA Nations League qualifiers.
