Spain face Denmark, Switzerland and Serbia on their quest to defend their Nations League trophy.
The Spanish national team, reigning champions of the tournament, face the national teams of Denmark, Switzerland and Serbia in the group stage of the UEFA Nations League 2024/2025.
Spain were represented by national coach Luis de la Fuente and national team director Albert Luque at the draw held at the Maison de la Mutualité in Paris to find out their first three opponents on their potential route to retaining their title.
This is the fourth edition of the Nations League, a competition that has had three different champions in its three seasons: Portugal (2018/2019), France (2020/2021) and Spain (2022/2023).
The draw has paired Luis de la Fuente's side, seeded in Group A4, with the Danes, Swiss and Serbs. All the teams will play each other home and away. Spain's 41-time international and European and World Cup winner, Juan Mata, drew the teams for Group A at the event.
This fourth edition of the Nations League kicks off next September and the Final 4 phase takes place from 4 to 8 June 2025.
The great novelty of this edition lies in the fact that now the top two teams from each group qualify, not only the top team. This means that there is now a two-legged quarter-final played before the usual Final Four. The date of these quarter-finals will be from 20 to 25 March 2025.
