Spain find out opponents on the road to the 2026 World Cup

Spain will face Bulgaria, Turkey, and Georgia in a qualifying phase to take place between September and November 2025.

The Spanish national football team now knows their opponents in the qualification phase for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

After qualifying for the final four of the UEFA Nations League, Spain has been placed in Group E and will face Turkey, Georgia, and Bulgaria. The qualification matches will begin in September 2025 and conclude in November of the same year.

The top team in each group will earn a direct ticket to the 2026 World Cup. The runners-up will play a play-off against the other runners up from other groups. The UEFA Nations League quarter-finalists, including Spain, are guaranteed a place in the play-offs.
