The Spanish national team made history by qualifying as leaders of group A4 in the first ever UEFA Women's Nations League. To do so, they had to compete against tough opponents such as Switzerland, Italy and Sweden, against whom they played the sixth and final match of this round this evening.

Spain beat the Swedish team after a great comeback to win by 5 goals to 3 thanks to goals from Salma Paralluelo, Athenea del Castillo, Fiamma Benitez and a brace from Mariona Caldentey. This latest victory means the national team rounds off an unforgettable 2023.

The team coached by Montse Tomé will now play in the semi-finals of the European Championship, the draw for which will be held next Monday in Nyon (Switzerland).
