Coach Luis de la Fuente arranged recovery exercises after the opening match of the tournament, with lighter workloads for the players who completed the ninety minutes against Croatia than the rest of the 26-man squad.

Spain are scheduled to continue their preparations in the south of Germany until next Wednesday, when they will travel to Gelsenkirchen to face Italy on Thursday in a match that could be worth a place in the last 16 for the nation’s favourite team.
