Spain ready for their last game of 2023
It was a cloudy morning in the city of Valladolid, but as soon as Spain took to the pitch, the sun broke through the clouds above the Estadio José Zorrilla, as if it wanted to watch the national team's final training session before the match against Georgia.
The 24 players available for the clash that will bring to a finish their qualification campaign for Euro 2024, went through their paces on the pitch where they play their next game. The session began with the classic running activity between players and coaching staff and continued with the players doing rondos - both with and without goalkeepers. The first fifteen minutes of the training session were open to the press and broadcast on the Spanish national team’s official channels. The session continued behind closed doors but the great atmosphere among the squad was enough to provide an atmosphere in an empty stadium, but a ground that will be packed out with a sell out crowd for their next and final match of the qualifiers against Georgia. Luis de la Fuente's side are looking for another win to be seeded in next month's draw for the group stage of the European Championships in Germany.
The national team's day schedule will continue this afternoon with a press conference with the national coach and Álvaro Morata at the Estadio José Zorrilla from 18:30 (Spanish local time).
