Spain smiles for the world

Everything is ready to make history, including our portraits. The Women's National Team has been posing for photos at their base camp in New Zealand in a fun, FIFA organized photo session.

The 23 players called up for the World Cup smiled on camera just as the final phase is about to begin down under and Spain's debut this Friday, July 21 against Costa Rica which is coming up very soon the team led by Jorge Vilda.

The coach and players have taken a short break from their demanding training sessions for this official session, hoping that the same creativity, joy and self-confidence shown in front of goal will be transferred to the New Zealand pitches.

With their photos done, the Women's National Team will trave by roadl this Thursday from the town of Palmerston North to the capital Wellington, the scene of its World Cup debut against the Costa Ricans.
