Spain to play in Tenerife in November

The national team will face Switzerland at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López 28 years since their last match on the Canary Island.
The Spanish national team will return to Tenerife 28 years after their last visit. Spain’s senior team, which has just won the European Championships after a historic display in Germany, will play in the Canary Islands against Switzerland on 18 November, a match that is part of the last international window for the group stage of the UEFA Nations League.
It will be the third time Spain have played in Tenerife. It did so for the first time in 1994, a friendly match against Poland before the World Cup in the United States (1-1). In 1996 they played against Slovakia and won convincingly (4-1).
Luis de la Fuente's team will return to competition in September after their success at the European Championships.
