Spain touch down in Rotterdam

The national team plays the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Nations League in the Netherlands.

640 days after Spain lifted the UEFA Nations League in Rotterdam, Luis de la Fuente's side are now back in the Dutch city for a quarter-final first leg in the same competition. The national team come into this stage of the competition on the back of an impeccable group phase in which they finished unbeaten and with 13 goals scored.

Spain take on the Netherlands at the De Kuip stadium, a venue that brings back fond memories of their victory in the first ever Nations League. The clash against Koeman's side will take place tomorrow, on Thursday 20 March at 20:45, and promises to be a spectacular match between two powerhouses of European football.
