With their impressive victory over England, Jorge Vilda's players have completed the most difficult of challenges and can now proudly boast that they have lifted the World Cup at every level of women´s football.

The golden era began in 2018 with the conquest of the U-17 World Cup in Montevideo (Uruguay). On 1 December, the national team led by Salma Paralluelo and Cata Coll, recent champions with the senior team, beat Mexico by 2 goals to 1 with a brace from Claudia Pina.

Four years later, in 2022, the national team once again had dates with destiny. Twice this time. On 28 August, Spain won the U-20 World Cup after beating Japan 3-1 with a goal from Inma Gabarro and a brace from Salma Paralluelo.

And just two months later, the U-17 team won the World Cup again with a 1-0 victory over Colombia in Navi Mumbai, India, defending the title won four years earlier at the Charrúa Stadium in Montevideo.
