Spain’s talent factory is in full swing, just nine days away from their World Cup debut
Gym sessions, weights, cycling, strength exercises, shots, strategy, matches in the rain... The hard work and talent factory of the Spanish Women's National Team, led by coach Jorge Vilda, is operating at full capacity this week in the New Zealand town of Papakura.
The 23 players called up for the World Cup are training together at Mc Lennan Park, where on Friday, Spain and fellow World Cup participant Vietnam will also face each other in a practice match.
Meanwhile, the Women's National Team is ramping up the intensity of their training sessions, completing an evening session on Wednesday to return to the field on Thursday morning in New Zealand.
On Saturday, July 15th, the entire team will move further south to the town of Palmerston North, where players and coaching staff will continue their preparations with their sights set on the opening match on the 21st against Costa Rica in Wellington.
