The Spanish national team is recharging its batteries before the match against Germany

On Saturday, the Spanish national team returns to action with Luis Enrique and Olmo's press conferences and the official training session in the afternoon

Eleven days after the start of the stage at Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas, and with the excitement of winning 7-0 against Costa Rica to open the World Cup, the 26 internationals of the national team are enjoying their first day off this Friday, short break before the battle against Germany.

The Spanish national team will meet the Germans at the majestic Al Bayt stadium on Sunday and they will hold their final training session on Saturday before the second group match against a national team that is eager to win after losing against Japan (1-2) in their opening match. The training session is scheduled for 18:00 local time in Qatar and the first 20 minutes will be open to the media.

Before that, at 3.30 p.m., Luis Enrique and Dani Olmo will attend the FIFA International Media Centre. The striker who scored the100th goal in Spain's World Cup history plays for RB Leipzig and knows the Germans very well.

Luis Enrique warned that they needed to move on after winning against Costa Rica and get to work immediately to play against Germany, a powerful national team full of talent and with an enviable record at international tournaments. Luis Enrique made those statements just after the impressive debut of the Spanish national team.

Spain and Germany national teams have a long-standing rivalry, having played 25 times, with eight wins for the Spanish national team, eight draws and nine victories for Germany. The last time they met was on that magical night in La Cartuja. It ends in a 6-0 win that took Spain to the UEFA Nations League final four. There are four previous meetings in World Cups, with two wins for Germany (1966 and 1982), a draw and Spain's memorable victory in the semi-finals of South Africa 2010.
