Spanish national team nominated for 'Team of the Year 2023'

The Spanish National Team, nominated for the Laureus Award for 'Best Sports Team of the Year'. The world champions last August in Sydney and recently qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, receive more well-deserved recognition by being among the candidates for the best team of the year 2023.

Spain, who played a total of 20 matches in 2023, achieved a total of 17 victories, including in the final of the FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand against England.

Last year they also reached the final four of the UEFA Women's Nations League, where Spain are now preparing for the final against France (Wednesday 28 February at 19:00 at the Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville).

In addition to the Spanish national team as a team, two individual Spain stars have also been nominated individually: Aitana Bonmatí, as 'Best Female Sportswoman of the Year', and Salma Paralluelo, as 'Best Breakthrough Sportswoman of 2023'.
